Meal Program
Monday - Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Congregate Meal Program provides nutritious meals for older adults in a welcoming setting that encourages health, education, and socialization. Participants gather at their local site to enjoy a balanced meal while connecting with others in the community.
To qualify, participants must be age 55 or older, a spouse or caregiver of someone 60+, or disabled and living in housing primarily for older adults. Meals are served once per day and must be eaten at the site, though emergency pick-up may occasionally be available.
Meals are nutritionally balanced, meeting at least one-third of the daily Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) and following Older Americans Act (OAA) guidelines. All sites are ADA accessible.
Meals are donation-based, and volunteer opportunities are available. Volunteers are welcome to share a meal.
Participants must complete a Nutrition Program Intake and Nutrition Risk Assessment form when starting the program and annually thereafter. Completed forms should be returned to the local site manager.
