Alzheimer’s & Dementia Special Care Unit
Our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Special Care Unit (SCU) is designated for the individualized care we provide to residents who have been diagnosed or show signs of Alzheimer’s or dementia. Our SCU nursing staff receives regular training on how to care for residents experiencing confusion or other signs of dementia. Our dedicated staff also provides education and guidance for our residents’ loved ones.
SCU is a secure environment, prioritizing our residents’ safety. All activities are customized toward abilities and preferences in an effort to improve our residents’ overall quality of life.
Our Memory Garden is a tranquil place to soak in nature. Our SCU staff actively supports the Alzheimer’s Association by holding several fundraisers throughout the year and participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
